Installation Procedure

  1. Perform the front seat track synchronization. Refer to Front Seat Track Synchronization .

  2. Install the front seat (4) to the guide in front.
  3. Connect and latch the wiring harness plug (3) front seat.
  4. Install the 2 NEW bolts (1) and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: Service may offer bolts that are not microencapsulated. If this is the case apply thread lock agent to the bolts. If fasteners are microencapsulated, install NEW bolts. DO NOT reuse the old bolts.
  5. Connect the seat belt to the seat belt tensioner. Refer to Front Seat Belt Anchor Plate Tensioner Replacement
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  7. After the repair check the proper installation and function of the seats.
