Preliminary Procedures Remove the front side door upper trim cover. Refer to Front Side Door Upper Trim Cover Replacement .
1	Front Side Door Pull Handle Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 2 N.m (18 lb in)
2	Front Side Door Inside Handle Bolt Finish Cap Procedure Pull handle back to remove cap. Use suitable tool to unsnap.
3	Front Side Door Inside Handle Bolt Tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
4	Front Side Door Trim Clip (Qty: 8) WARNING: These retainers/clips MUST be replaced with new retainers/clips anytime they become loose or are removed. Failure to replace these retainers/clips after they become loose or are removed may cause a severe loss of safety in cases of a crash and lead to personal injury. Special Tools BO-38778 Door Trim Panel Clip Remover For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
5	Front Side Door Trim Procedure Pull upwards on the door lock retainer cable to disengage. Disconnect the electrical connectors. TIP: Only use BO-38778 remover to disengage the door trim clips from the door. Do not disengage the clips by pulling from the map pocket area, since this can distort the trim panel.
