Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW engine front cover seal (2).
  2. Install the engine front cover (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the engine front cover bolts (1) and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  6. Install the engine oil cooler outlet pipe bolt (1) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  7. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .

  9. Install the crankshaft sprocket (1). Refer to Crankshaft Sprocket Replacement .

  11. Install the water pump bolts (1) and water pump pulley (2) and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
  12. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LUW) .
  13. Install the air conditioning compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LDE, LUW, LWE) .
  14. Install the timing belt tensioner. Refer to Timing Belt Tensioner Replacement .

  16. Install the radiator outlet hose (1) to the water pump. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LDE LUW) .
  17. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  19. Connect the negative battery cable (1). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
