Exhaust Manifold Installation (1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW)

Clean the exhaust manifold sealing surface.
Install a NEW exhaust manifold gasket to the exhaust manifold.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the exhaust manifold (3) and tighten the NEW nuts (4) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Install the 2 exhaust manifold bracket bolts (2) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
