Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Clean the sealing surfaces.

  3. Apply an approximately 3.5 mm (0.14 in) thick bead of oil pan sealant to the joints (arrows).

    NOTE:

    The assembly time including torque check must take no longer than 10 minutes.

  5. Apply an approximately 3.5 mm (0.14 in) thick bead of oil pan sealant (1) as illustrated.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Install the 15 oil pan bolts (1) to the oil pan (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the 3 oil pan bolts (1, 2) to the transmission and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
  10. Install the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement .
  11. Install the engine oil heater. Refer to Engine Oil Heater Replacement .
  12. Install the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14. Install the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement .
  15. NOTE:

    Inspect the engine oil level and correct if necessary.

  16. Refill the collected engine oil.
  17. Close the hood.
