Installation Procedure

  1. Install the crankshaft balancer.
  2. Install a NEW crankshaft balancer bolt.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Use J 38122-A  to prevent the crankshaft from rotating while tightening the crankshaft balancer bolt.

    Tighten the bolt to 100 N.m (74 lb ft) plus 75 degrees.

  5. Install the engine drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  6. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement - Right Side .
