Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood latch release cable to the hood latch.
  2. Position the hood latch to the alignment marks on the support bracket.
  3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the hood latch bolts.
  5. Tighten the latch bolts with the latch in the full up position.
  6. Slowly close the hood and press down until the hood is flush with the fenders.
  7. Raise the hood.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Adjust the hood, if required. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
  9. Close the hood.
