Removal Procedure

    WARNING: When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Place a suitable support between the hood and the air inlet grille panel.
  3. Using a grease pencil, mark the position of the hood hinge.
  4. Remove the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement .
  5. Remove the hinge bolts and the hinge.
