Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the ignition lock cylinder case. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Case Replacement .
  2. Remove the steering column and jacket assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  3. Use a vise in order to hold the steering column. Clamp on the lower mounting bolt hole with the bolt hole sleeve in the horizontal position.
  4. Ensure the steering wheel alignment mark at the top of the steering column jacket shaft is in the 12 o'clock position.

  6. Remove the 3 steering column jacket bolts.
  7. Remove the steering column jacket from the steering column.
