Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the SIR system.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) trim plates. Refer to the following procedures:
  3. Remove the I/P cluster bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  4. Remove the passenger inflatable restraint module. Refer to Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement .
  5. Remove the I/P upper trim pad air grille assembly. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
1 Instrument Panel Trim Pad Screw (Qty: 12)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  2.3 N.m (19 lb in)

2 Instrument Panel Trim Pad Assembly

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  2. Lift up to release the I/P top panel from the I/P retainer.
  3. When replacing trim pad assembly, transfer all necessary components.
