Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement . Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement . Remove the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement . Lower the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
1	Instrument Panel Retainer Assembly Tip: Remove the HVAC air ducts.
2	Instrument Panel Retainer Bolt (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
3	Instrument Panel Retainer Screw (Qty: 17) Tighten: 2.2 N.m (20 lb in)
4	Instrument Panel Retainer Nut (Qty: 8) Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
