Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge pipe from the engine purge hose. Refer to Evaporative Emission Line Replacement - Engine to Chassis .
  2. Cap or plug the purge pipe and the engine purge hose to prevent contamination.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the retaining nuts (1).
  5. Disconnect the EVAP line from the plastic retainers (2).

  7. Disconnect the quick connect fitting (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  8. Disconnect the EVAP line from the plastic retainers (2).
  9. Pull down on the EVAP plastic retainers (3) and remove the EVAP line.
