Front Side Door Outside Handle Housing Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the interior trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Acadia or Traverse)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (Enclave) , or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Enclave)Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (Acadia or Traverse) .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
1 Front Side Door Handle Housing Bolt
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the latch cylinder rod and the handle rod at latch.
  2. Release the inside handle cable retainers before removing the housing.
  3. Disconnect the door latch electrical connector, if equipped.

Tighten 
7 N.m (62 lb in)
