Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Connect the rear seat latch cables to the rear seat latches (3, 6).
- Install the rear seat latch inner covers (4, 5) to the seat latches (3, 6).
- Install the rear seat cushion latches (3, 6) to the rear seat cushion frame.
- Torque the rear seat latch lower bolts (9, 10).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
- Rotate the rear seat cushion latch upper sectors upwards until they fully lock, one per side.
- Ensure that both latches are fully locked.
- Do not release either latch until all steps are complete.
- Install the rear seat latch upper sectors to the seat back with one bolt (2, 7).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Loosen the cushion latch to cushion bolts (9) three full rotations.
- Torque the rear bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
- Torque the front bolt (9).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
- Install the rear seat latch outer covers (4, 8).
- Install the rear seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (60%) .
- Install the rear seat cushion inboard trim panel. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Assembly Replacement - Inboard (60%) .
- Install the rear seat cushion outboard trim panel. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Assembly Replacement - Outboard (60%) .
- Install the rear seat to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Removal and Installation (60%) .
