Removal Procedure

- With the ignition OFF, apply and release the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the brake booster vacuum reserve.
- Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
- Release the vacuum hose routing clip (1) from the intake manifold ball stud.
- Disconnect the power vacuum brake booster hose (1) from the intake manifold vacuum port.
- Release the quick connect (2) from the power brake booster auxiliary pump.
- Disconnect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the power brake booster vacuum check valve and hose assembly with vacuum sensor assembly (1) from the power brake booster.
- Remove the vacuum brake booster hose assembly from the vehicle.
