Water Pump Replacement (LLT)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LLT Static Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement .
  3. Remove the water pump drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
1 Bolt, Water Pump Pulley
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  10 N.m(89 lb in)
2 Water Pump Pulley
3 Bolt, Water Pump

Tighten:  10 N.m(89 lb in)
4 Water Pump

Procedure

  • Clean the water pump mating surfaces.
  • Install a NEW water pump gasket.
