Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

    IMPORTANT: Match the shift control lever correctly with the selector lever connection. Place the shift control lever in the Park position and verify that the lever is all the way forward. If not, proceed with the following adjustment.
  1. Remove the battery and the battery tray.
  2. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .

  3. Place the shift control lever in the Park position.
  4. Loosen the pinch bolt nut on the shift control lever.
  5. Place the selector lever connection all the way forward on the transaxle case.
  6. Tightly insert the shift control cable into the shift control lever.
    7. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

  7. Secure the pinch bolt and nut to the cable.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in) 

  8. Install the floor console.
  9. Install the battery and the battery tray.
