Automatic Transmission Fluid Pan and Gasket Removal: Removal

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .

Place a fluid container beneath the fluid drain plug.
Use DT 46475 (1) to remove the transaxle fluid drain plug. See Special Tools . Drain the transaxle fluid.

Remove the oil cooler inlet and outlet pipes. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .
