Headliner Replacement

Headliner Replacement

Callout Component Name
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 2 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 6 .
  2. Remove the windshield garnish trim moldings. Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement .
  3. Remove the sunshades and the sunshade retaining clips. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  4. Remove the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Center Pillar .
  5. Remove the upper quarter trim panels. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper .
  6. Remove the rear door opening upper trim panel. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Door Opening Upper Frame .
  7. Remove the coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  8. Remove the weather strips around the top of each door opening and the top of the endgate.
  9. Place the rear seats in the stowed position.
  10. Remove the front seat head rest.

2 Retainer, Sunshade (Qty: 2)
3 Panel Assembly, Headliner Trim
Tip: 
  1. Place the front seats fully forward with the seat back fully reclined.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  3. With the aid of an assistant, remove the headliner out the back of the endgate opening of the vehicle by lifting the left hand side and lowering the right hand side.
