Engine Front Cover and Oil Pump Installation

  1. Install the engine front cover with a new gasket.
  2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the long water pump bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the water pump bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the engine front cover bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine front cover bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the generator bracket and lift hook assembly.
  8. Install the generator bracket and lift hook assembly bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

  10. Install the idler pulley.
  11. Install the idler pulley bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the pulley bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  13. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner.
  14. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the accessory drive belt tensioner bolts to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).
