Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LNF)

Preliminary Procedures Partially drain the coolant system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LE5, L61) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LNF) . Remove the thermostat. Refer to Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement (LE5) or Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement (L61) or Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement (LNF) . Disconnect the inlet and outlet heater hoses. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (L61, LE5) or Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LNF) and Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (L61, LE5) or Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (LNF) . Remove the turbocharger coolant return pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LNF) . Remove the coolant temperature sensor. Refer to Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement .
1	Thermostat Housing Bolt (Qty: 3) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Thermostat Housing
3	Water Inlet Seal Procedure: Use a new seal.
