Driver Seat Adjuster Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the front seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .
  3. Remove the front seat back cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  4. Remove the cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
  5. Align both recliner springs so that tension is held by the notch on the seat back frame. Ensure that the springs are completely seated in the notches before removing the adjuster support.
1 Driver Seat Adjuster Return Spring
Procedure: 
Disengage the spring from the driver seat adjuster latch rod and the driver seat outer adjuster.
2 Seat Back Frame Nuts (Qty: 6)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  20 N.m (14 lb ft)

3 Driver Seat Cushion Bolt

Tighten:  20 N.m (14 lb ft)

4 Driver Seat Back Cushion Frame

Procedure

  1. Align both recliner springs so that tension is held by the notch on the seat back frame. Ensure that the springs are completely seated in the notches before removing the adjuster reinforcement.
  2. Separate the inner and outer adjuster to remove the seat back cushion frame and other components.
