Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket . Remove the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement . Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup .
1	Cover, Seat Cushion Tip: Disconnect the seat cushion cover J-channel from the seat cushion frame. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
2	Pad, Seat Cushion Tip: The inflatable restraint passenger presence system is part of the seat cushion pad on the passenger seat, and must be replaced as an assembly.

Preliminary Procedures

Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Remove the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Frame Replacement .
Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup .

Cover, Seat Cushion
Tip:

Disconnect the seat cushion cover J-channel from the seat cushion frame.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Pad, Seat Cushion
Tip: The inflatable restraint passenger presence system is part of the seat cushion pad on the passenger seat, and must be replaced as an assembly.
