Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Buick LaCrosse and 2006 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Assemble the intake manifold as necessary. Refer to Intake Manifold Assemble .
    2. Fig 1: View Of Intake Manifold

  2. Install the intake manifold. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION .

  3. Install the PCV hose to the intake manifold.
  4. Install the brake booster vacuum hose and check valve to the brake booster.

  5. Install the throttle body electrical connector.

  6. Connect the fuel injector electrical connector.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  7. Install the wiring harness to the right side of the intake manifold.

    Tighten:  Tighten the wiring harness bracket bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Connect the purge solenoid electrical connector.
  9. Install the ECM bracket with the ECM. Refer to Engine Control Module (ECM) Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
  10. Connect the BARO sensor electrical connector.
  11. Install the fuel pressure and EVAP hoses to the engine. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) and Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) in Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
  12. Install the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
