Intake Manifold Installation

  1. Install the lower intake manifold gasket.

  3. Install the intake manifold assembly.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  5. Install the intake manifold bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the intake manifold bolts to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).

  6. Connect the fresh air positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose to the left camshaft cover fitting.

  8. Connect the dirty air PCV hose to the intake manifold and the right camshaft cover fitting.

  10. Install the evaporative (EVAP) solenoid.
  11. Install the EVAP solenoid bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the EVAP solenoid bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  13. Connect and remove the intake manifold-to-solenoid EVAP hose to the intake manifold and to the EVAP solenoid.
  14. Install the intake manifold-to-solenoid EVAP hose bracket bolt to the intake manifold.

    Tighten:  Tighten the intake manifold-to-solenoid EVAP hose bracket bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  16. Connect the vehicle-to-solenoid EVAP hose to the EVAP solenoid.
  17. Install the hose clip to the intake manifold.

  19. Connect the brake booster hose to the upper intake manifold.
