Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the throttle body air inlet duct.
- Remove the engine mount struts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left and to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right .
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the three-way catalytic converter pipe from the right exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (3.4L) in Engine Exhaust.
- Remove the right front wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the right engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine - Right in Body Front End.
- Remove the bolts which secure the engine mount bracket to the oil pan.
- Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
- Raise the engine.
- Remove the engine mount upper nuts.
- Remove the engine mount bracket from the engine mount.
