J 41790  Compressor Holding Fixture

  1. Clean the pressure relief valve seat area of the rear head.
  2. Lubricate the O-ring of the new pressure relief valve with clean 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the new pressure relief valve into the compressor.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the compressor pressure relief valve to 9 N.m (80 Ib. in).

  4. Remove the compressor from the J 41790  .
  5. Install the A/C compressor to the vehicle. Refer to COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT (2.2L)  or COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT (4.3L) .
