Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING .
  2. Remove the compressor hose assembly bolt (1) and the washer (2).
  3. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the compressor.
  4. Remove the sealing washers.

  5. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the accumulator.
  6. Remove the O-ring seal and discard.
  7. Remove the lower radiator hose. Refer to RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - INLET (4.3L) or RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - INLET (2.2L) in Engine Cooling.

  8. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the condenser.
  9. Remove the O-ring seal and discard.
