Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Set the handle in position in the endgate.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the 3 bolts (1) that retain the handle to the endgate.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m(18 lb ft).

  4. Install the endgate spoiler. Refer to Spoiler Replacement - Rear .
  5. Reattach the handle linkage rods and adjust the endgate latch. Refer to Endgate Adjustment .
  6. Reattach the endgate handle bezel. Refer to Endgate Adjustment .
