Endgate Adjustment

- Lower the end gate.
- Remove the end gate handle bezel retaining bolts (1).
- Remove the end gate handle bezel (2) by using a flat-bladed tool to release the push-in retainers attached to the bezel directly below the handle (3).
- Release the right side end gate handle latch rod retainer (3).
- Release the left side end gate handle latch rod retainer (4).
- Adjust the latch by positioning the rod seating position in the retainer. Position each side equally.
- Attach the retaining clips.
- Close the end gate. Ensure that the end gate is latched securely.
- Open the end gate. Observe the ease of operation.
- Continue to adjust by repeating steps 6 through 9 until the desired operation is achieved.
- Attach the end gate handle bezel. Ensure that both push-in retainers are aligned correctly.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (7 lb ft).
