Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the floor console bezel. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Luxury) .
  2. Remove the storage bin. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Non-Luxury)  or Console Storage Bin Replacement (Luxury)  .
  3. Remove the floor console end panel. Refer to Center Console End Panel Replacement .
    NOTE: Do not disconnect the electrical connectors.
  4. Separate the end panel from the console in order to gain access to the retaining screws.
  5. Remove the 2 screws (1) retaining the power outlet cover to the console end panel.
  6. Remove the cover from the end panel.
