Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

- Install the DIC and power outlet bracket to IP extension. Tighten the bracket screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lbs in).
- Install the speaker. Refer to SPEAKER REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR CONSOLE (TWEETER) or SPEAKER REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR CONSOLE (806 SUBWOOFER) .
- Install the extension to the IP.
- Install the 4 retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lbs in).
- Connect the wire connector and attach to the extension.
NOTE: Verify that the wire or connector is NOT outside the console.
- Carefully move the console forward to attach to the extension.
- Install the console to the extension by slightly lifting up over the extension hooks and then downwards.
- Install the 2 retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lbs in).
- Connect the wire connectors and attach to the console to prevent rattling during vehicle movement.
- Install the bolts retaining the console to the mounting bracket. Tighten the bolts to 3.5 N.m (31 lbs in).
- Install the amplifier, if equipped. Refer to AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT (BASE) or AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT (DENALI YUKON) or AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT (DENALI SUBURBAN) or AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT (ESCALADE EXT) .
- Install the console bin. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Non-Luxury) or Console Storage Bin Replacement (Luxury) .
- Install the CD player. Refer to REMOTE CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT .
- Install the DIC. Refer to Driver Information Center Replacement .
- Install the console bezel. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Luxury) .
