Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the power outlets to the end panel, if equipped.
  2. Install the console floor lamp, if equipped. Refer to CONSOLE LAMP REMOVAL PROCEDURE .
  3. Install the rear seat audio controls, if equipped. Refer to AUDIO CONTROL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT .
  4. Install the rear seat heater switch, if equipped. Refer to HEATED SEAT SWITCH REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  5. Connect all electrical connectors.
  6. Install the end panel to the console.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  7. Install the 2 top retaining screws (1). Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lbs in).

  9. Install the 4 retaining screws (1). Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lbs in).

  11. Install the rear cupholder to the end panel. Refer to Cupholder Replacement - Front Floor Console .
  12. Install the storage bin. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Non-Luxury)  or Console Storage Bin Replacement (Luxury)  .
