Shift Lever - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

  1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to the Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
  3. Slide the shift lever seal (2) up the shift lever (4).
  4. Remove the shift lever screw (3).
  5. Remove the shift lever (4).
