Drum Brake Hardware: Installation

  1. Install the actuator lever and the lever pivot. Install the actuator lever return spring. See Figure .
  2. Install the hold down pins. See Figure . Install the hold down springs.
  3. Install the brake shoe guide. See Figure . Install the brake shoe return springs.
  4. Install the brake drum. See BRAKE DRUM  .
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . See DRUM BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  . Lower the vehicle.
