Park Brake Cable: Installation

  1. Install the cable assembly. See Figure .
  2. Connect the retaining fingers to the park brake lever. See Figure .
  3. Connect the grommet to the body. See Figure .
  4. Install the cable into the clip.
  5. Connect the grommet to the bracket. See Figure .
  6. Connect the clevis to the park brake cable. Make sure the retaining fingers are tight.
  7. Install the clevis pin.
  8. Install the cotter pin.
  9. Adjust the parking brake cable. See PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
