P1 Planetary Module: Reassembly

  1. Position P2 ring gear on workbench so tang holes are facing upward. Install P1 planetary carrier assembly into P2 ring gear. Ensure splines are engaged. See Figure.
  2. Install retaining ring into P2 ring gear so P1 planetary carrier assembly is retained. Align tangs of thrust washer with tang holes of P2 ring gear. Install thrust washer onto P2 ring gear. See Figure.
