  1. On models with cooler manifold, install a NEW gasket, channel plate, NEW gasket, and cooler manifold. See Figure. Install and tighten cooler manifold bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. On all models, install the filter attachment tube by hand. Tighten filter attachment tube to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the magnet onto the filter attachment tube.
  3. Lubricate the gasket on the control main filter with transmission fluid. Install the filter by hand until the gasket touches the converter housing. Using a filter wrench or socket, turn the filter only one additional full turn (do not exceed one full turn).
  4. Install a NEW "O" ring onto the pressure tap plug. Install and tighten pressure tap plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . On direct mount type, without cooler manifold, install the bolt access cover.
  5. Install NEW "O" rings onto shipping plugs or hydraulic connector assemblies, then install connectors. Tighten shipping plugs or hydraulic connector assemblies to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . If equipped with elbow connectors, ensure they are positioned in original positions when installed.
