Shift Valve Body Reassembly

  1. Install solenoid screen to a height of .020-.039" (.50-1.0 mm) below shift valve body surface. Install control main valve and spring. Compress spring using Valve Spring Compressor (J-43773) or equivalent, and install the retaining clip. Ensure retaining clip is below valve body surface.
  2. Install "D" shift valve, spring and plug. Compress assembly with compressor tool and install retaining clip. Ensure retaining clip is below valve body surface. Repeat this procedure for "E" and "C" shift valve spring and plug. See Figure.
