Shift Valve Body Disassembly

CAUTION: Ensure parts (springs, etc.) are not interchanged from their original locations to avoid transmission damage. If available, use Valve Tray Set (J-33163) or equivalent, to hold parts in correct order as removed. If valve tray set is not available, carefully tag each part as removed.
  1. Using Valve Spring Compressor (J-43773) or equivalent, compress "C" shift spring until retaining clip is loose and remove clip. Remove spring and "C" shift valve. See Figure.
  2. Repeat procedure at "E" & "D" shift spring and valve, and control main valve and spring. Remove solenoid screen. See Figure.
