Removal & Installation

Remove the starter from the vehicle. Remove the transmission from the vehicle. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - A/T in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION article. Remove the flywheel from the crankshaft. Install the flywheel to the crankshaft. Install the flywheel bolts to the crankshaft. Tighten the bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the transmission to the vehicle. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - A/T in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION article. Install the starter to the engine block. Tighten starter motor fasteners to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
