Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - A/T in Automatic Transmission.
    IMPORTANT: Note the position and the direction of the engine flywheel before removal.
  2. Remove the flywheel bolts.

  4. Remove the flywheel.
  5. Clean and Inspect the flywheel. Refer to ENGINE FLYWHEEL CLEANING AND INSPECTION in Engine Mechanical - 4.2L Unit Repair.
