Draining & Refilling

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove fill plug (2) and drain plug (1) from transfer case. See Figure . Allow fluid to drain. Reinstall drain plug. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Fill transfer case through oil fill plug hole to specified capacity using recommended fluid. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS  . Ensure fluid is level with bottom edge of fill plug hole. Reinstall fill plug. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
