Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the drive motor generator power inverter module. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Removal and Installation .
  2. Remove the high pressure pump shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement .
  3. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (with CH 48027-100) or Fuel Pressure Relief (w/o CH 48027-100) .
  4. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement (LCS) .

  5. Loosen the fuel rail crossover pipe (1) fitting to the right fuel rail (2).
  6. Loosen the fuel rail crossover pipe (1) fitting to the right fuel rail (3).
  7. Remove the fuel rail crossover pipe (1) from the vehicle. Discard the pipe.
