Installation Procedure

    NOTE: The drive motor generator control module sight shield mounting fastener must be installed and tightened. Failure to properly tighten the sight shield fastener may result in an open High Voltage Interlock Circuit (HVIC) condition and DTCs.
  1. Install the sight shield tab (2) into the slot (3) on the support brace. Lower the sight shield to the center and tighten the sight shield mounting fastener (1) to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  2. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LCS) .
  3. Enable high voltage. Refer to High Voltage Enabling .
