Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill With HP5)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill Without HP5)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill With HP5)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill Without HP5) .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LY7) or Drive Belt Replacement (LCS) .
  3. Remove the right engine mounting bracket.Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Right Side

  5. Use the EN 46104  in order to retain the water pump pulley.

  7. Remove the water pump pulley bolts.
  8. Remove the water pump pulley.

  10. Remove the water pump bolts.
  11. Remove the water pump.
  12. Remove and DISCARD the water pump seal.
  13. Carefully clean the water pump sealing surfaces.
