Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill With HP5)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill With HP5) 
  2. Remove the drive motor generator control module assembly. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Control Module Assembly Replacement

  4. Using J 38185:  Hose Clamp Pliers disengage the tension on the hose clamp (1) and remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the thermastat housing.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  6. Remove the front bumper facia air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement

  8. Using J 38185:  Hose Clamp Pliers disengage the tension on the hose clamp (1) and remove the radiator outlet hose (2) from the radiator.
  9. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the vehicle.
