Ignition Lock Cylinder Control Solenoid Replacement (Without NVH, With LE5 or LAT)

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure: 
Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
1 Ignition Lock Cylinder Solenoid Bolt (Qty: 2)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  2 N.m (18 lb in)

2 Ignition Lock Cylinder Solenoid
Procedure: 
Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
Tip:  A new ignition lock cylinder solenoid consists of only the solenoid and spring. Do not attempt to remove any roll pins retaining the plunger mechanism. If the plunger mechanism exhibits any signs of damage or wear then replacement of the ignition lock cylinder case will be necessary.
