Installation Procedure

  1. Install the desiccant bag (2).
  2. Lubricate the O-rings on the plug with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement .

  4. Install the bottom plug (1) and tighten to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in).
  5. Install the condenser brackets, then tighten the plug to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  6. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Add the proper amount of oil. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities (With HP5)  or Refrigerant System Capacities (Without HP5) .
  9. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (With HP5)  or Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Without HP5) .
  10. Leak test the fittings of the component with J 39400-A  . See Special Tools .
