Preliminary Procedures Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (With HP5) or Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Without HP5) . Remove the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement . Remove the radiator opening upper cover. Refer to Radiator Opening Upper Cover Replacement . Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement . Remove the LH headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement . Remove the engine control module and the transmission control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement and Transmission Control Module Replacement (2.4L LE5) or Transmission Control Module Replacement (2.4L LAT) .
1	Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
2	Liquid Line Bracket Nut (Qty: 2) Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
3	Liquid Line Retainer
4	Liquid Line to Condenser Bolt Tighten: 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
5	Liquid Line Assembly
