Air Conditioning Condenser and Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement (LAT)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (With HP5)  or Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Without HP5) .
  2. Remove the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  3. Remove the radiator opening upper cover. Refer to Radiator Opening Upper Cover Replacement .
  4. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  5. Remove the LH headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
  6. Remove the engine control module and the transmission control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement and Transmission Control Module Replacement (2.4L LE5) or Transmission Control Module Replacement (2.4L LAT) .
1 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Nut
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  16 N.m (12 lb ft)

2 Liquid Line Bracket Nut (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

3 Liquid Line Retainer
4 Liquid Line to Condenser Bolt

Tighten:  16 N.m (12 lb ft)

5 Liquid Line Assembly
